UK Hip Hop News – Grime Daily’s Youtube Account Suspended

Yesterday morning (Friday 17th June 2011) it came to my attention that UK urban broadcaster Grime Daily have had their extremely popular Youtube channel suspended due to “multiple or severe violations” of the Youtube Community Guidelines.

This could mean that the prolific urban broadcaster could have been shut down for anything from “pornography or sexually explicit content” to “misleading descriptions, tags, titles or thumbnails in order to increase views”.

Tweets from the esteemed broadcaster’s profile read “On our way to the google headquarters will let everyone know soon.” and “If its anything to do with the music we promote we just go harder. In the meantime www.grimedaily.com”

It remains unclear as to why the channel was suspended and a statement on Grime Daily’s website released later in the day doesn’t offer much insight to fans reading “Due to matters beyond our immediate control, our Youtube account has been suspended. Grimedaily is working with Youtube, to resolve the matter as quickly as possible. We will hope to have a resolution when operational hours resume on Monday.”

With the reason for the suspension remaining unclear to the world it would seem Grime Daily are moving on with business tweeting “What should we call our new youtube for now? any ideas? gotta upload these videos asap”
