Tell us a little bit about yourself

My names Luke, i’m 22 from Watford, Hertfordshire (just outside northwest London). An up and coming UK Hip Hop artist.

What made you choose the name?

The name was given to me really.. like many – I’ve grown up involved in a bit of mischief, and my sheer lack of care for my actions labelled me Ruthless.

What, if any, are the main influences for you when writing your music?

Music is VERY personal to me, so anything you hear on my music is either my diary or my perception of the matter – no real influences as such.

At what age did you first decide to make Hip Hop music?

15. I was kicked out of my home, left homeless and managed to get a little room sorted… Started hanging around with the olders in the area who were all musicians at the time and all put me onto this!

What is the main theme behind your current release?

I want as many people to know that we’re all equal. we all have our stories to tell and have seen bad times – so don’t feel abandoned or alone. coz your not.

How long have you been working on your current project?

Too be fair, im working on about 12 projects at the same time.. the work rates phenomenal!

Who features on production for your current project?

Well my newest release is The Archaeology Takeover. Its an 8 Track Free Download produced by Redskull (most commonly associated with K Koke)

Have you got any other promotion in place?

Yea, Tricksta at Parkstreet Promotions and Stuart Luck aka ‘Stix’ from Hip Hop Life And Times have been showing me love from day 1!! not to mention yourself, and im getting a-lot of love from the people and my supporters at the moment. (mad love to everyone!)

Have you performed at many live shows and what kind of a reaction do you get?

Yea i love doing shows now.. i rembember how scared i was at my first show.. now ive probably done about 20 and im getting overly comfy on stage! most of the time i get told i have a really clear voice and im very easy to listen to, also i get praise for my lyrical content.. which is emotional to know people are listening properly!

Have you been on any live radio shows and what do you prefer, radio or live on stage?

I have, but nothing major as i haven’t got the connections for that really.. i just need to step my game up and reach out a bit more really.. i think id prefer shows either way though.. i like networking too much

Have you featured on any other UK Hip Hop artist’s tracks, if so, who?

Wow.. urmmm.. genesis elijah, terra slim, supar novar, danny bones, yaeo, haan makro, nekz, grand ruckus, king jesk (from america) jay flames and tooth. more coming too..

Have you got any videos on-line i.e YouTube, Vimeo etc?

Yea ive got 5 official music videos and a few other videos to watch at

Have you been featured on any UK broadcasters like SBTV/Link Up TV’s YouTube channels?

Not sb[TV] or anything, thats coming this year. i didnt want my buzz to be built off of a next channel, so ive made 5 free downloads n done a bit of work before i use label broadcasting…

What are the plans for the future?

like i said im working on about 12 projects right now.. theres a few things coming out on itunes soon, a bag of new videos, free downloads and collaborations (including a couple songs with yourself, P!) and i really do hope to progress as an artist. I like to think i can make a future from this music business. also, keep your eyes and ears open for ‘The Nat Turner Fraternity’.. i wont say anything else on that case lol..

Thanks for your time, is there anyone you would like to shout out?

No problem, thank YOU my brother! yea, big up escape route, flip life, menu music, 4d, my nat turner fraternity fam.. all my people, my ‘colleagues’ so to speak.. my supporters, and of course, BlackBudgetTv!
